• As a granddaughter of a first-generation Pastor, Cynthia grew up in the church since she was 4-years-old. In her early 20’s, she attempted to walk away from Christianity. It was after her grandfather’s passing and the culmination of a perfect storm over the years that left her confused and unsure of her beliefs… even God’s existence. She found herself entangled in religion and overwhelmed with doubt.

She stumbled through life in her 20’s until she met and married her husband, experienced the loss of their first child, and listened to the dreams of their then 3-year-old son. Soon Cynthia found herself confronted with the truth she knew in her heart all along: God is on the throne and Jesus is real.

Her stories of victory and overcoming - from suffering with severe anxiety and panic attacks, to thoughts of suicide in her teen years, her love story, and the loss of a child- have captivated the attention of listeners from all walks of life. She has seen the power of love, validation, accountability,

  • encouragement, and inspiration propel people into their future. Her authenticity, contagious passion, humor, and "straight talk" style has made her a trusted voice that speaks truth with boldness and love aiming for the heart of the issue so people can be set free.

Cynthia created and launched a live workshop Truth Behind the Mirror™ for teen girls based on self-esteem, media influences and recognizing (true) beauty at a Los Angeles, CA foster girls center. And she served as a certified volunteer care counselor through her local church, where she worked directly with young adults/parents in the community struggling in life situations and transitions.

She is married to Nathan, a pastor and executive director of their home church. She's a homeschooling mom, founder of Her Gathering®, host of the Her Mentor® podcast (coming in 2024), and CEO of The Brand Strategist.

THE STORY

IT WAS TUESDAY MORNING ON MARCH 31, 2020 ...

I was in the midst of a 40 day fast. I finished a morning devotional and walked to my kitchen sink. Suddenly, I felt a presence in my kitchen. I looked down and saw my hands shaking… in an instant I felt a heavy burden for women and an urgency to create a space for them to gather online. A community where they could gather to study the Bible and grow in their faith.

As a wife, homeschooling mom and small business owner, this kind of plan or idea was no where on my radar. It slightly stressed me out thinking about how much work and commitment this would take. But I chose to trust God’s leading and I went into strategy and planning mode right away.

I suddenly remembered that months earlier the name “Her Gathering” came to mind. I realized this was His plan all along and it was a matter of time before He would reveal it to me as well.

Her Gathering® was launched almost 2 weeks later on April 13th with just shy of 100 women from around the globe who had registered… and new women still continuing to join. It’s an honor and privilege to be leading this incredible community.
